Lalit Modi Saga
indian Parliament is busy these days and issue which is keeping it busy in IPL (Indian Premier League). Sharad yadav of janta dal united called IPL Chairman lootera (dacoit).
He was talking about man called Lalit Modi. The name which was unknown till three years back.The man behind Indian Premier League. The man who brought the richest people of India , the most famous people of India and cricketers from all across the globe under one umberalla called IPL.The man who united two biggest passion of Indians (bollywood and cricket) and the man who made cricketers crorepatis . IPL become a success story and in three years made $4 billion brand. Its appeal transcends nations and the success story was well written , well published.
Lalit modi began bigger star with IPL. His autographs were seeked , his interview was most soughted and even a movie was planned on his life. Lalit modi soon became a mircale manager who could do impossible things like managing entire tournament in southafrica in short notice of 3 weeks , who could reassure southafricans , australians , newszelanders for security issues.Who could silence the speculation by his single tweet -'IPL would happen ' as he said last year or 'Australians , newszelanders would play , i assure you' when speculations about security concerns by those players were raised.Modi was everywhere , on grounds , on television , on magazines , on websites. Till he tweeted famous kochi franchise owner thing. This led to resignation of minister of state and raids all across India by Income Tax , ED . Now lalit modi is speculated to be out of his job as IPL Commissioner on 26th when IPL Governing council would meet.
Hero modi soon was accused of being proxy owner of franchise, being involved in betting , being involved in financial mis practise and even involved with some southafrican model!!!!!!!!!!
The man is also accused of transforming himself from being almost bankcrupt to owning private jets , yacht and his life style too in under scanner.
The lalit modi saga is getting uglier with opposition calling for joint parliament committee probe and an prestigious magazine accusing UPA government of tapping phone of sharad pawar. Two cabinet minister's name too is being speculated for their involvement in IPL Saga.
Would modi survive this or would he go down?. Would he take rich and powerful down along with him?. Only time would tell but lalit modi's journey from being unknown to hero to fallen hero would surely be a big story.
