The lalit modi saga is getting uglier with opposition calling for joint parliament committee probe and an prestigious magazine accusing UPA government of tapping phone of sharad pawar. Two cabinet minister's name too is being speculated for their involvement in IPL Saga.

Beginning her career as a model, Rao made her acting debut with Ab Ke Baras (2002) for which she won her best debut award. She then starred in Ken Ghosh's love-story Ishq Vishk (2003) and earned her first Filmfare nomination in the Best Female Debut category. She is best known for Main Hoon Na (2004) and Vivah (2006), her biggest commercial success so far

Personal life

Rao was born in Mumbai to a Konkani Hindu family from Mangalore, Karnataka.[2] She speaks Marathi, Hindi, English and her mother tongue, Konkani.[3] She attended Canossa High School in Mumbai, and later enrolled in Sophia College to pursue a degree in Psychology.

Her appearance in Cadbury’s Perk Karwa Chaut ad and the Bru Coffee advertisement helped her receive offers from film directors in Bollywood. As she wanted to complete her education, she refused them. After earning a degree in psychology, she began her profession as an actress, working in films.

Rao made her acting debut with Ab Ke Baras (2002), and followed that with her 2003 film, Ishq Vishk, in which she portrayed Payal. In 2004 her films Masti and Main Hoon Na, Deewaar (2004) were released. Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi (2005), Shikhar (2005), and Pyare Mohan (2006) followed. She starred in Sooraj R. Barjatya's Vivah (2006) opposite Shahid Kapoor.[4] Her performance earned her a Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award.
In 2006 Rao made her debut in Tollywood, with the Telugu film Athidhi opposite Mahesh Babu.[5] Amrita's releases in 2008 include My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves and Welcome to Sajjanpur. Amrita's releases in 2009 are Victory, and Shortkut.

Sonam Kapoor is in high spirits these days as her upcoming film I hate Luv Storys is getting wrapped up and the promotions have already started. Daddy Anil is also happy with the way the film is looking. And there is more good news about this daddy – daughter duo.
Sampurn wire has found out that this duo will soon be seen together on screen under the Yashraj banner which will be directed by Aditya Chopra. Anil Kapoor stated that he really liked the idea that Aditya came up with and it was the first time that he liked both the roles of him and Sonam in one film and was prompted to say ‘yes’ to the film. He did not really reveal whether he was playing a father to Sonam on screen too but mentioned that he would not be very keen to be cast in the same role as in his real life.

Incidentally, Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra also had planned on this casting coup for Delhi 6 but it could not be worked out. There was a probability of seeing this duo together in the film Thank You but Anil opted out when Sonam made an entry as his role required to teach Akshay some flirtatious skills which would make him really uncomfortable when Sonam would be in picture.

If all things fall in place, this film would finally see the father-daughter duo coming together on screen and the audience will have to watch out for the chemistry between the two.

Ranbir Kapoor has been uncharacteristically boisterous at his recent media events to promote Raajneeti. Most people close to him have noticed the radical change in his promotional strategy. Is it love or is it something far less personal?

Gone is the serious, respectful actor speaking in clipped tones. Even while promoting a fun film like Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Ranbir was dead serious allowing only a hint of a smile once in a while.

For Raajneeti, we see Ranbir bantering, flirting and joking in full public view with his cast and the media. What has brought on this change in the otherwise sober almost somber actor?

According to a very close friend of Ranbir, the intelligent young actor has taken on himself the daunting task of making Raajneeti look youth-friendly.

Says the friend, “Prakash Jha’s strategy of taking the political message of Raajneeti to various educational institutions and on so-called ‘serious’ public platforms has Ranbir worried. He doesn’t want the audience to think Raajneeti is a political drama filled with real-life political tensions. Ranbir is employing every strategy he knows to divert attention from the politics of Raajneeti.”

The actor is deliberately employing the flippant fun-filled strategy at media events. Prakash Jha doesn’t deny that there’s a dramatic change in Ranbir’s public conduct for Raajneeti.

Jha says, “There’s a definite attempt by Ranbir to lighten the atmosphere to bring an element of masti into our public discussions. But Ranbir and I have not planned any strategy. He is instinctively very sharp, focused and funny. He knows which button to press to get the gathering revved up. So yes, I’d say Ranbir is deliberately lightening the atmosphere. But he isn’t messing with the gravity of the discussions.”

Jha is in all praise for Ranbir’s intuitive grasp of the present day youth’s aspirations.

Says the director, “In Bangalore, while discussing the young and politics Ranbir said it’s definitely preferable to have people with basic common sense rather than plain education to run our country. It brought the house down.”

According to the close friend, Ranbir wants Raajneeti to be seen as an entertaining followup to his earlier film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani with Katrina.

The friend says, “He knows Raajneeti is poles apart from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. But he wants the audience to know it’s a very entertaining and watchable drama. Ranbir’s strategy sometimes goes against Prakash Jha’s sales-pitch. The director has been trying to focus on the political content rather than the stars. Ranbir’s antics during the recent press conferences (hiding from TV cameras behind Katrina, sketching funny pictures during a press conference, telling the curious media humorous anecdotes about Raajneeti) countermand the director’s attemps to highlight the theme of present day politics.”

In fact, Ranbir has other lighten-up-the-atmosphere plans for forthcoming media functions. He also wants Katrina get seriously flippant at Raajneeti events but she isn’t biting the bait.

The pal adds, “Ranbir plans to discuss anything but politics. The point he wants to prove is, he’s just playing a politician. It doesn’t mean he has to have the answers to the ills of the nation. Prakash Jha has been a politician in real life. So, he knows and empathizes with Indian politics. For Ranbir and Katrina playing politicians is fantasy. Just as he played a salesman in Rocket Singh Salesman of the Year Ranbir is playing a politician in Raajneeti

Arjun Rampal is one actor who progressed slowly and steadily on the silver screen Probably destiny has brought him onto the lime light in the bollywood. Just in recent past from his successful film ”Rock on” and OSHO there has been no looking back for Arjun. Call it luck, destiny or hard work but yes! Arjun has all the reasons to be rejoicing for having made up onto the silver screen. Although the critics had written him off stating,” Being from the modeling field Arjun need not even try to turn into an actor. He is too stiff to be an actor.”

But Arjun has something to say,” Yeah! I being from the modeling environment did realize that. I am not a person to leave things so very easily. I always tried to make an honest attempt to change myself. Improving at par with excellence vide performance has definitely proved fruitful for me. And now with my film Raajneeti people will really find me in a changed Avatar. We as actors have to transform ourselves into the character to the best of our ability.” Further adding how the character benefits the actors he adds,’ I sincerely would confess that more than putting in efforts while performing a character we get to learn so many things from the character we enact.

Stirring further about the fiery persona that Prakash Jha possesses Arjun says,” He is an intimidating kind of a person. He is knowledgeable and has all the wisdom. I met him five years ago in a party and it was then he told me that he would like to cast me. Surprisingly he called me after four years for this role in Rajneeti.

Well we drift to an important query-Why is Arjun known to be a women’s’ man? He is far from being linked to anyone. Women chose him as their ‘Best Man? Smiles…I feel my mom, my sisters my daughter and all other women feel comfortable in my company. I give 60% to my mom for inculcating love, respect for the women. I also feel that women are stronger than men. They have a clear and a good intuition. Their perceptive to judgment never fails to bring smiles as they are very calculative.

As far as getting linked up to other women, I guess the credit should go to my wife. She has given me everything that a man needs from his wife so why on earth shall I even think of deceiving her. I think she needs to be complimented for that.”

Talking about politics in bollywood he says,” Actually, every working sphere there exists some kind of rivalry.I like to keep away from any such controversies. I do not allow to push the envelope after a certain level. At a point of time I definitely like to voice my opinion. I do not allow myself to be the victim of any unwanted situations.”

On friendships he says,” Honesty takes relationships and friendships to another level .I believe in not interfering in any ones business and neither allow the others to do so to me. On working front good relationships help us create magic on the screens, supporting his stand he adds,” I and Ranbir bonded very well while we were shooting for Rajneeti. We shared so many things in person that our off screen comfort level has really set blaze the silver screen.You will notice how comfortably we interact on the screen.”

Talking about his films he says I liked my character in Moksha although the film did not do well. My role in Rock on is close to my heart. I really enjoyed music and the lyrics while performing my character in the film. Osho was a character which I did not know what it would fetch me. But this role too has added a feather to my success.”

Well! Who has been his strong support at times of facing a low phase in the industry? My mom has always been my strongest support. My actor friends and all those who gave me chance to come to this level of success, I think they have been my strongest support. To name some Farrh Khan, Shahrukh and Farhan Akhtar have also been my greatest support.”

Turning philosophical he adds,” One needs to be calm at times when one passes through troubled waters. All that we need to do is patiently and passionately work towards progress.”

Talking about his two daughters he says,” I like to give them most of my time, but due to hectic schedule it is not possible. I make it a point to at least be with them during the vacation. My elder daughter Mhika [Whose name has been tattooed in his arm] is an athlete. During leisure hours I play imaginative games with them. They love to turn as pirates.

He has a changed avatar in RA I and what is all about? It will be too early for me to discuss RA 1 . All I can say it has a darker shade.

So is Shahrukh very happy with you after OSHO that he has offered this role to you? More than friendship as professional demand and the suitability of the character probably I have been offered this role. Working together we definitely become friends.

Steering further to his style statement he adds,” I like to wear something which makes me feel comfortable. I would like to wear a simple pair of jeans and a T-shirt. My favorite has been those “Natvarlal” shoes which Amitabh Bachchan has wore in film. I would love to wear them. I got them especially made after watching the movie.

In Bollywood, Koena Mitra has made her own place with diverse kind of films. Now, as the Bong beauty is stepping into a new phase in her career with four new movies that she is all set to begin work on, she has developed another strong aspiration.

Considering the fact that Koena is a trained dancer, she is now looking forward to be an integral part of a dance musical film.

“Oh, I am so much waiting for a musical to happen to me”, says Koena with high hope in her voice. “Ever since I was a 3 year old kid, I started taking training in dance. I have been trained in four different kinds of dance forms and have extensively worked with Mamta Shankar’s dance troupe. I have learnt Indian ballet classical as well as a contemporary dance form. Also, while street hip-hop is something which is getting popular today, I have been doing it since childhood”, adds the actress.

It comes as a surprise indeed because although she started her career with a special song and dance routine in ‘Khullam Khulla Pyaar Kare’ (Road), she has seen gained popularity with a sizzling act in films like Musafir, Apna Sapna Money Money and Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena.

“I know, it is ironical since I do come with a very strong background in dancing”, she smiles. Koena continues, “Unfortunately in Bollywood we don’t have culture of a dance musical film. I guess the last true dance musical film was Dil To Paagal Hai. On the other hand, in Hollywood, there are so many musicals being made.”

She doesn’t have any complains about her journey so far though.

“See, all my directors and producers have given me so many wonderful songs. However, at times you do feel that you could have given so much more. You do bite your nails and feel that if there is an opportunity that comes your way, you could do so much more. I do pray to God for that moment to arrive because I have that kind of strength to do justice to such films. There is so much variety that I have to offer”, she assures.

Well, given the confidence that Koena is carrying and a desire to do something different in the world of films, she could well throw a surprise in weeks to come

She subsequently essayed a variety of character roles, receiving her first commercial success with Rajkumar Hirani's Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), and followed it with Heyy Babyy (2008) and Bhool Bhulaiya (2008),[2] the latter earning her another nomination for a Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Born into a Iyer family in Palakkad, Kerala [1] to P.R. Balan (Vice President of ETC Channel) and a housewife mother. She has an elder sister, Priya. In a video interview, she stated that she is "extremely spiritual", and visits temple every Friday.
She did her schooling at St. Anthony's School, Chembur, Mumbai and later at St. Xavier's College from where she graduated in sociology.[1] She was then doing her MA at the University of Mumbai, when she got her first film offer.
Early career
Her acting career started when she was signed to appear in the Malayalam film Chakram, alongside Mohanlal but the film was shelved. After that, she was signed for a Tamil film, Run, but for reasons undisclosed, she was dropped after a first schedule and replaced by Meera Jasmine.[3] When Chakram was restarted with Prithviraj in the lead, Meera Jasmine was chosen ahead of Balan again. Balan was dropped from her second Tamil film Manasellam opposite Srikanth, on the grounds of 'non-performance' and was replaced by Trisha Krishnan.
She then turned to television advertising. From 1998 onwards, she appeared in numerous television ads, many of which were directed by Pradeep Sarkar. She also took supporting roles in music videos, appearing with singers and bands such as Euphoria, Shubha Mudgal, and Pankaj Udhas. Turning point, 2005-present
In 2003, she appeared in the Bengali film, Bhalo Theko directed by Goutam Halder [4], for which she won the Anandalok Puraskar Best Actress award in Kolkata. Balan next made her Hindi film debut in the critically acclaimed Parineeta. Her performance in that film was acclaimed by critics,[5] earning her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and a nomination for Filmfare Best Actress Award. After the success of her first two films, the same producer who dropped her from Manasellam was keen to sign her opposite Kamal Hassan for Dasavathaaram but she rejected the offer and Asin Thottumkal was signed instead. In 2006, she appeared opposite Sanjay Dutt in the blockbuster film Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Once again her performance was well received by critics[6] and the film went on to become the second highest grossing film of that year.[7]
Mani Ratnam's critically acclaimed Guru was Balan's first release in 2007, in which she played a woman suffering from Multiple sclerosis. Director Nikhil Advani announced in late January 2009 that he is to work with Vidya. Chand Bhai will be the title of this film and Akshay Kumar will co-star. The film is based on juvenile delinquency.[11] Balan is also set to star in UTV Spotboy's No One Killed Jessica alongside Rani Mukerji.

Akshay Kumar was born in Amritsar, Punjab [6] to a Punjabi family. His father was a government employee. From a very young age, he was recognised as a performer, particularly as a dancer. Kumar was raised in Delhi's Chandni Chowk neighbourhood before moving to Mumbai.[7] In Mumbai, he lived in Koliwada, which was another Punjabi dominated area.[7] He studied at Don Bosco School and then Khalsa College, where he participated in sports with Janpal Singh.[7]
He studied martial arts in Bangkok and worked as a chef. He then came back to Mumbai, where he started teaching martial arts. One of his students happened to be a photographer and recommended him to do modelling. The student gave him a modelling assignment for a small company. For his two hours posing in front of the camera, he got Rs. 5,000, compared to his previous salary of Rs. 4,000 in one month. That was one of the main reasons why he chose to be a model. After a couple of months of modelling, Kumar was finally offered a lead role by producer Pramod Chakravarthy for the movie

Kumar made his Bollywood acting debut with the 1991 film Saugandh, which was unnoticed. His first major success was the 1992 thriller film Khiladi. 1993 saw a drop as many of his films failed to do well. However, 1994 proved to be a good year for Kumar as he followed up his success with Khiladi with the action films Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Mohra which were among the highest grossing films of the year.[8] Later that year, Yash Chopra signed him for the romantic film Yeh Dillagi which was also a success.[8] He received appreciation for his performance in this film, where he played a romantic role which was different compared to his action roles. He would consequently receive his first nominations for Best Actor award at the Filmfare and Star Screen ceremonies. During the same year, Kumar also had success with films like Suhaag and the low budget action film Elaan. All these achievements, promoted Kumar as one of the most successful actors of that year.[9]
In 1995, along with his share of unsuccessful movies, he starred in the third film in his Khiladi series Sabse Bada Khiladi, which was a hit.[10] He proved to have success with the Khiladi series, as in the next year he starred in the fourth successful film with Khiladi in the title, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi opposite Rekha and Raveena Tandon. The film became one of the highest grossing films of the year.[11]
In 1997, Kumar was seen in a supporting role in Yash Chopra's hit film Dil To Pagal Hai, for which he received a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award nomination. In the same year, he attempted a comedy role with the fifth film in the Khiladi series, Mr and Mrs Khiladi. Unlike his previous films with Khiladi in the title, the film failed commercially.[12] In the same way as this film, his next Khiladi releases in the following years went on to fail at the box office. In 1999, Kumar received critical acclaim for his roles in the films Sangharsh and Jaanwar. Whilst the former did not make a profit at the box office, the latter turned out to be a success.[13]

In 2000 he starred in the comedy Hera Pheri (2000) which was both a critical and commercial success,[14] and showcased his ability at doing comedy just as he did action and romantic roles. He also starred in the romantic film Dhadkan later that same year which also earned reasonable takings at the box office.[14] In 2001, Kumar played a negative role in the film Ajnabee. The film won him much acclaim as well as his first Filmfare Award for Best Villain. Kumar also had critical appreciation for his role as a blind man in Aankhen which was a box office success of that year.
Following the success of Hera Pheri, Kumar starred in a number of comedy films, including Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) and Garam Masala (2005). The films succeeded at the box office, and his performance in the latter earned him his second Filmfare Award, for Best Comedian.[15][16]
Apart from his action, comedy and romantic roles, Kumar displayed a flair for dramatic roles in films such as Ek Rishtaa (2001), Aankhen (2002), Bewafaa (2005) and Waqt: The Race Against Time (2005).
In 2006 he starred in a sequel to Hera Pheri titled Phir Hera Pheri. As was the former, the sequel became a huge success at the box office.[17] Later that year he starred alongside Salman Khan in the romantic musical Jaan-E-Mann. The film was a well anticipated release, and despite receiving positive reviews from critics, did not do as well as expected at the box office.[17] Though the film under-performed, his role as a shy, lovable nerd was praised.[18] He ended the year with the comedy Bhagam Bhag, which was a success.[17] In that same year, he led the Heat 2006 world tour along with fellow stars Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, Sushmita Sen and Celina Jaitley.[19]
2007 proved to be Kumar's most successful year during his career in the industry, and as described by box office analysts, "probably the best ever recorded by an actor, with four outright hits and no flops."[2] His first release, Namastey London, was critically and commercially successful, and his performance earned him a Best Actor nomination at the Filmfare. Critic Taran Adarsh wrote of his performance in the film, "he's sure to win the hearts of millions of moviegoers with a terrific portrayal in this film."[20] His next two releases, Heyy Babyy and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, were box office successes as well.[21][22] Kumar's last release of the year, Welcome, did extremely well at the box office, receiving a blockbuster status and simultaneously becoming his fifth successive hit.[23] All of Kumar's films which released that year did well in the overseas market as well.[24]
Kumar's first film of 2008, Tashan, marked his comeback to the Yash Raj Films banner after 11 years. Although much anticipated by the public,[25] the film was a critical and commercial failure. His second film, Singh Is Kinng was a huge success at the box office and broke the first-week worldwide record of Om Shanti Om, the previous highest figure.[26] His next film was the animated film Jumbo.
In 2009, Kumar featured opposite Deepika Padukone in the Warner Bros.-Rohan Sippy production Chandni Chowk to China. Directed by Nikhil Advani, the film was a critical and commercial failure at the box office.[27] Kumar's next release was 8 x 10 Tasveer. Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, the film was a critical and commercial failure. His next release Kambakkht Ishq was declared as an above average success at the box-office. Kumar's film Blue was released on 16 October 2009. Blue collected about Rs. 42 crores at the box-office and was declared as average. His last release of 2009 was Priyadarshan's De Dana Dan, which was declared as an above average success.

Prince Andrew must feel very betrayed, and how Fergie must be feeling is beyond words. Fergie did say:

"I am very sorry this has happened. I can confirm the Duke of York was not aware or involved in any of the discussions that occurred. I am sincerely sorry for my actions."

Fergie did seem very comfortable in the video making this deal, so it makes me wonder if this is routine for her, or if she was just so amazed at her good fortune to see it was a setup.

Simon Monjack (39) was found unconscious about 9:30 pm Sunday evening by Sharon Murphy. She called 911, but paramedics were unable to revive him, so he was pronounced dead.

Although prescription drugs were found, just like when Brittany Murphy died in the same house 5 months earlier, a drug overdose is likely not the cause of death. Simon said previously he had a heart attack in November of 2009 while aboard an airplane, causing a mid-air medical emergency. Simon was scheduled to have coronary artery bypass surgery in September, but appears to have died from sudden cardiac death first.

Clogged coronary arteries are not something to wait to take care of.

Now that Simon is dead, and can no longer try to scam people out of money in his wife’s name, Brittany Murphy can finally rest in peace.

Lindsay Lohan faced the judge yesterday morning, but was 8 minutes late to the hearing, which the judge pointed out several times. Lindsay was lucky the hearing wasn’t yet to decide if she was going to jail, because the judge would have been so inclined after Lindsay’s repeated display of disrespect for the authority of the court, much like she behaves to the other authority figure in her life, her father.

The judge ordered Lindsay to start wearing the alcohol monitoring device called a SCRAM bracelet within 24 hours, to take random drug tests weekly, to attend alcohol education classes weekly, not three more to make up what she missed, but continued classes, the only time she can miss a class is if it conflicts with a random drug test, and the drug tests MUST BE DONE IN LOS ANGELES, and Lindsay cannot consume alcohol or drugs, or she’ll go to jail.

The hearing to determine if Lindsay violated her probation, and to determine if she will spend up to 180 days in jail, will be on July 6 at 0830. The judge told Lindsay to be on time this time, which is a warning that if she is not the judge will be in a sour mood.

My interpretation of the current ordered requirements for Lindsay to remain free on bail is this, if she complies with thoses requirements the judge might not throw her in jail, but may instead keep those requirements in place for another year of six months, only if Lindsay behaves, which I would think is going too easy on Lindsay after all the times she has thumbed her nose at the authority of the court, but it’s up to the judge.

During the hearing, see video below, Lindsay had her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley relay all sorts of excuses and lies to the judge to convince the judge she was too important to wear a SCRAM bracelet, and wanted to take more than one alcohol ed class per week to try to accelerate the classes, but the judge didn’t buy anymore of Lindsay’s lies, and added she had a 30 minute list she could read off as to why the requirements for Lindsay to remain free on bail were legally justified. Lindsay, after cosulting with her attorney for a minute, agreed to the terms and requirements.

The prosecutor asked to see proof that Lindsay had tickets to fly back to Los Angeles from Cannes, which her attorney provided, but could not offer definitive proof that Lindsay lost her passport, especially since she never contact police in Cannes. The judge and the prosecutor both conducted themselves with the assumption that everything Lindsay now says is a lie, because it is. One of Lindsay’s lies was to claim she couldn’t attend one of her alcohol education classes because she had to be in New York with her family because her mother’s brother died. When asked if Lindsay attended the funeral, her attorney answered "NO." Lindsay is a habitual liar, which the court is now aware of.

Lindsay lied again when she claimed she shouldn’t be required to wear the SCRAM bracelet because it would interfere with her movie filming in Texas. The producers for the two movies Lindsay is working on, Machete and Inferno, both said Lindsay has no filming requirements in Texas. Machete producers said they are filming some shots in Texas, but none require Lindsay, and Inferno said they are not filming at all in Texas, so once again Lindsay lied to the court.

Here is how Lindsay ended up in this predicament:

In July of 2007, Lindsay Lohan was charged with 2 DUIs, 2 counts of possession of cocaine, transporting a narcotic into a custodial facility, driving on a suspended license, drinking underage and fleeing the scene of an accident. Her BAL was .12 on the first DUI, .15 on the second. The legal limit is .08. She faced a total of 6 years in jail.

Instead she was placed on probation and ordered to complete a series of alcohol education classes. Which she did not do. And she was told to attend one class a week. But she didn’t do that either, and so she got an extension, and she didn’t do it that time either. And so the judge said, “well you’re in trouble now, you better finish it by May 19th!” And Lindsay didn’t do that either. Instead she went to France and got drunk. And the judge said, “Well then be in court on May 20th!” And Lindsay didn’t do that either. Instead she lied to the judge time and time again, often with the judge knowing full well Lindsay was lying.

On Sunday Lindsay made a video to explain why she didn’t show up for a court ordered probation violation hearing on Thursday (below). At the end of the video Lindsay says she couldn’t be at her brother’s graduation Monday because she has to be in court, and starts crying as if she is victim of the court’s cruelty, and not a victim of her own self destructive behavior.

I believe Lindsay deserves to serve the 180 days in jail, not just because she violated her probation, but also because she has not honored the agreement to keep her out of jail on probation, instead Lindsay continues to lie to the court, as if the court were her father. Lindsay needs an authority figure in her life, and unfortunately that authority needs to come from a court of law. If Lindsay is ordered to jail, it should further order that Lindsay cannot be released due to over crowding, or any other reason, unless approved by the court.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt spent some time visiting patients in the hospital some time ago. When I saw this picture I couldn’t help but wonder what was going through this guy’s mind. I think the look on his face says it all.

This guy didn’t come to the hospital to be harassed by mental cases.

Venus Williams beat Patty Schnyder on Sunday with consecutive 6-3 victories wearing a very revealing outfit.

With some tennis players this outfit would enhance the visual experience, but not in this case.

Kirsten Dunst, and her assistant Liat Barch, both had their purses stolen from the SoHo Grand Hotel in New York back in 2007. James Jimenez was identified as the thief, and although he was put on trial for criminal trespassing, the jury could not reach a verdict because he claimed he was allowed access to the room by Dunst and her assistant since he accompanied a drug dealer they were meeting with.

Liat testified in the new trial for Jimenez on Thursday admitting there was marijuana in her purse:

"I had a little bit of marijuana in my bag. No one else smoked pot. I was planning on
smoking it alone after we wrapped, after work."


Defense attorney Robert Parker asked:

"You were going to smoke that with Ms. Dunst, right? Ms. Dunst knew you had the marijuana in your bag, correct?"

Liat replied:

"No".

In a book released in April of 2008 called Pot Culture: The A-Z Guide to Stoner Language and Life, Dunst was quoted from an interview in April of 2007 where she said:

"I drink moderately, I’ve tried drugs. I do like weed. I have a different outlook on marijuana than America does. My best friend Sasha’s dad was Carl Sagan, the astronomer. He was the biggest pot smoker in the world and he was a genius. I’ve never been a major smoker, but I think America’s view on weed is ridiculous. I mean – are you kidding me? If everyone smoked weed, the world would be a better place. I’m not talking about being stoned all day, though. I think if it’s not used properly, it can hamper your creativity and close you up inside."

In May of 2008 it was reported that Dunst went to rehab to treat her addiction to drugs or alcohol.

There is little doubt that Dunst and her assistant would be sharing the marijuana, which doesn’t matter in this case. Jimenez was charged with criminal trespassing, not theft or doing drugs, so there is no point in establishing if Dunst smokes pot or not. After the assistant admitted drugs were in her purse that corroborated Jimenez’s claim, so he’ll probably go free.

After being hospitalized for an intracranial hemorrhage on Wednesday evening, Gary Coleman slipped into a coma. Coleman was taken off life support and died at 12:05 PM PST. Coleman’s manager John Alcantar said after Coleman’s passing:

"He was removed from life support; soon thereafter, he passed quickly and peacefully. By Gary’s bedside were his wife and other close family members."

"Thanks to everyone for their well wishing and support during this tragic time. Now that Gary has passed, we know he will be missed because of all the love and support shown in the past couple of days. Gary is now at peace and his memory will be kept in the hearts of those who were entertained by him throughout the years."

Coleman battled illness much of his life, but now he can finally rest in peace.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have finally separated. Although the couple were last seen together in this picture last Friday in Malibu, reports say Heidi is look for a new place to live in Malibu.

Heidi’s family are concerned that Spencer is dangerous, which is supported by his mentally unstable behavior in video clips from The Hills, and in confrontations with Heidi’s family. Despite Spencer’s behavior, Heidi’s own self mutilation with 10 plastic surgeries presents evidence that she too may be mentally unstable.

A while ago Spencer was replaced as Heidi’s manager, and Heidi has been trying to attract Michael Bay’s attention to replace Megan Fox in Transformers 3.

It’s hard to imagine what kind of future Heidi and Spencer have ahead of them, but Heidi will likely fair better since she’ll be seen as a victim of Spencer’s crazy delusional control. Perhaps we’ll see Heidi start making the TV talk show rounds to tell her victim’s story soon.

Update: A publicist for Montag says:

"Yes the split is real. Like to say separation for now. As you can imagine it is crazy right now. She’s trying to lay low the next couple days. What I can say is that it’s a separation for now, not divorce."

Now it’s sounding like a publicity stunt.

Given her recent legal woes, Lindsay Lohan needed something to distract her from the negative vibes going on in her life.

And the “Mean Girls” actress decided to spend 10 hours in a Beverly Hills hair salon transforming her dark locks into a flirty blonde coif.

LiLo was ordered by Judge Marsha Revel on Monday to wear a SCRAM bracelet to make sure she doesn’t consume any alcohol between now and her next hearing.

And it’s not Lindsay’s first experience with the clunky bracelet- she wore one back in 2007 after a stint in rehab.

Thrust into the position as one of the most sought after photo opportunities wherever in the world she might be at the time, Kristen Stewart vented about the pressures that come along with being one of the biggest names in Hollywood.

Candidly talking with Gregg La Gambina for Bebe's X Flaunt magazine Issue # 109 (The Fashion Issue), the "Twilight" hottie was fresh off of having a friendly chat with Sean Penn invaded by a surge of paparazzi before the sitdown - which clearly influenced the course of the conversation.

Kristen frustratingly said, “If I could go to work every day and not have to be followed around by f**king fifteen gangsters trying to take my picture, willing to do anything for one… It’s not normal. It’s funny how in America fame is placed so f**king high—above wealth, above happiness, above everything. It’s so not true. And I knew that before [I was famous]. It was so obvious to me. I don’t know how people can’t see that from an outsider’s perspective. My perspective is the same: it’s exactly what I thought it would be.”

Then being greeted inside of a local eatery by a fan who quickly let her get back to the interview, Miss Stewart got into another pet peeve springing from the social networking takeover.

"He was nice,” she tells of the betaken fan. “He didn’t ask for a picture. That’s good, because then they go and Twitter them and then the paparazzi know where I am and they drive to my location and it gets crazy. Twitter f**ks me over every day of my life. Because people go, ‘I’m sitting next to Kristen Stewart right now’ and then they show up. I see people on their phones and I just want to take these cookies and throw them. It’s like ‘Get off your f**king phone and get a life!’ I get so mad. It’s like you’re trampling on someone’s life without any regard. And it’s rampant. Everyone can do it now. Buy a camera and you’re paparazzi; get a Twitter account and you’re an informant. It’s so annoying.”

Clearly noting her temper, La Gambina then asked, “Have you ever punched anyone in the face?”

Getting a laugh from the usually-serious star, K-Stew laughingly answered, “No! I’ve hit people, but I’ve never clocked someone."
