Akon Plans To Bring The Stadium To Your Living Room

Akon is currently gearing up for his fourth solo album, Stadium. The R&B singer - and label boss to Lady GaGa - is calling the late summer release his 'most energetic project to date.'

Apparently the new album will feature a lot of dance music, no doubt David Guetta had some dealing with that side of things.

Akon told VIBE Magazine: “We are bringing the stadium to your living room. It’s high-energy dance music mixed with a little international sounds and hip-hop. It’s a whole new sound.

“The concept of the song (Nosey Neighbors) is I’m in a condo, I have binoculars, I’m looking through this window and I see this girl and she’s looking extremely incredible and she’s undressing. I’m kind of spying on her, but I’m not quite sure if she knows it because she never looks at my direction.

"Everything she’s doing is taunting me to keep me watching. The record is crazy. This one is an up-tempo dance club record with hard hip hop drums in it.”

Gym Class Heroes

Travie McCoy from Gym Class Heroes may be focusing on his solo projects, but he definitely hasn’t forgotten about the band.

Apparently, there will be another album from the rap group next year.

Travie told Rap-up.com: “We’ve been working on it. I think the next Gym Class album is going to be a lot more introspective and personal. It’s like four dudes in a room just vibing off each other and it’s just deeper.

Lazarus is actually going to be more fun. I didn’t want to put too much of my personal life in there. It’s more of a light-hearted, laid-back kind of album from start to finish.

“At this point in my life, I’m much happier than I was going into this album. There were a couple of songs that I scrapped because I felt that they brought the record down. I wanted to keep it upbeat and keep everybody smiling.”

The group’s last album The Quilt was released in 2008
