Sarah Ferguson is threatening to leave England permanently for the United States.

But despite her humiliation, Fergie is still trying to make $$$$$! She is signing copies of her kids books in NYC tomorrow.

"She's the type of person who lives for freebies. She is a diva and expects everything to be for free — first-class travel, chauffeured cars, and residences," claims a source on the Manhattan charity circuit.

We're sure that's not gonna last much longer.
